Inter Miami Announces Polkadot as Official Global Training Partner

The Inter Miami Stadium and the team’s training uniforms will be adorned with the Polkadot logo.

The popular blockchain platform Polkadot (DOT) has partnered with the American professional football team Inter Miami CF, which is co-owned by David Beckham. Polkadot will serve as the club’s global training partner.

This move will give Polkadot significant brand exposure and enable it to interact with Inter Miami CF’s global fanbase, according to the press release shared with Cryptonews.

As per the agreement, every training top for Inter Miami’s First Team will have Polkadot’s logo on it.

According to the press release, during official team training sessions at Inter Miami’s Florida Blue Training Center, on the road, and during pre-match warm-ups, all players and technical staff will be sporting the new tops.

The partners will make their debut in the top during the team’s practice prior to the Chicago Fire FC game on August 31.

Additionally, Polkadot will be “visible” via stadium signage and LEDs throughout Chase Stadium in Florida, USA.

This covers “major signage” that is located both inside and outside the stadium.

“Polkadot will engage Inter Miami’s passionate fanbase through interactive fan zone activations, prominent branding at the training center, and dynamic digital campaigns,” according to the announcement, which highlights the company’s role as Main Partner.

In addition, it advised Polkadot users and supporters of Inter Miami CF to “stay tuned for exciting initiatives and activations,” implying possible future developments.

Notably, Polkadot notes that this partnership represents a significant shift from customary, backroom sponsorship agreements.

Moreover, it is the official blockchain partner of Heroic Esports and was previously the main sponsor of Conor Daly’s car at the Indianapolis 500.

‘A Natural Fit’

Salvatore Esposito, a community contributor for Polkadot, claims that the platform’s governance structure gives every community member a voice and authority over every stage of the decision-making process.

This includes “even the largest global marketing initiatives,” the announcements said.

This strategy makes sure that every choice is in line with the group’s goal.

Thus, this collaboration demonstrates how “decentralized decision-making can influence and shape major global collaborations,” Esposito went on.

When the control is fully in the hands of a community, he said, the possibilities are limitless.

Furthermore, Inter Miami Vice President of Partnerships Euan Warren said that the club is “a natural fit” for this partnership.

He added that the partnership would “resonate” with fans globally.

“It is really exciting to know that this group of international soccer stars, like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, will soon sport our favorite and supported brand on their uniforms,” said Chrissy Hill, CLO and acting COO of Parity Technologies, the top technical contributor to Polkadot.

At the time of writing (Thursday morning, UTC), DOT is trading at $4.32, following a 0.3% increase in the past 24 hours. It is down 7.4% in a week.
