Gemini Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com Congratulate Donald Trump on Winning the US Election

Crypto.com CEO: “Crypto has never looked brighter than today.”

With 277 votes, Donald John Trump has won the US election in 2024. Even before the election results were formally announced, cryptocurrency leaders and entrepreneurs began to celebrate his victory. Prior to the results, Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek congratulated Trump on his victory in the 47th US presidential election.

Even before the results were officially announced on Nov. 6 morning Asia time, Marszalek emphasized that this is a significant win for the cryptocurrency sector.

“Crypto at its very core is about freedom of the individual and the future of crypto has never looked brighter than today.”

According to the Associated Press, Trump had about 230 electoral college votes at around 1 pm SGT on Wednesday, when Marszalek posted. This was more than his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, who had 209 votes.

The co-founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, Tyler Winklevoss, posted on X at about the same time, saying, “We are on the brink of a new American Renaissance.”

“The crypto army is striking,” Winklevoss added in celebration of Republican Bernie Moreno’s victory in Ohio.

“Bernard Moreno recently defeated Sherrod Brown, a crypto public enemy, Elizabeth Warren co-conspirator, and Gary Gensler crony, for the Ohio Senate.”

Trump’s Victory Drives Bitcoin Price Crazy

In the early US hours on Wednesday, Donald Trump claimed victory and pledged to “heal” the country and “fix everything.”

Trump has promised during his campaigns to turn the US into the “world capital for crypto and Bitcoin,” should he be reelected. The biggest cryptocurrency in the world has reached a record high as a result of his pro-crypto pledges and election victory.

After it was announced that Donald Trump had won the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Bitcoin surged above $75,397. According to CoinMarketCap data, the cryptocurrency surged, increasing 8.63% in the last day. Bitcoin is trading at $74.06 at press time.

Meanwhile, prediction markets have become a key point for traders to speculate on the elections. Much before the election results, decentrlized Polymarket platform had notably showcased the probability of Trump’s victory at more than 60%, while Harris’ slid below 39%.
