Later this month, Donald Trump, a Republican candidate for president, will speak at one of the biggest conferences in the cryptocurrency industry in Nashville, Tennessee.
The conference organizer updated Wednesday that Trump would be the event’s main ‘headliner’. The Bitcoin 2024 conference is scheduled from July 25-27.

“Trump announced his support for the American Bitcoin industry in May 2024, advocating for financial freedom and the growth of the U.S. Bitcoin industry on the global stage,” the conference website noted.
The former US President will be taking up the stage for 30 minutes, starting 2.00pm CT on the last day of the conference – 27 July, a conference spokesperson told CoinDesk.
According to some speakers, the organizers sent them an email requesting that the slots be rearranged to make room for “a very special guest.”
Robert F. Kennedy, an independent, will attend the conference alongside the presumed Republican presidential nominee.
Trump’s attendance at one of the biggest industry gatherings demonstrates his ability to convert cryptocurrency fervor into votes.
Bitcoin 2024 Conference to ‘Witness History’
Premium speakers at the Bitcoin 2024 event, “Witness History,” will include Senators Marsha Blackburn, Cynthia Lummis, and Bill Hagerty; Republican Vivek Ramaswamy; MicroStrategy Chair Michael Saylor; and Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood.
Trump’s attendance at the conference is consistent with his most recent election campaign, which is centered on cryptocurrency. In May, he began taking Bitcoin donations, which paved the way for a discussion about US crypto policy.
Additionally, the Republican party on Monday, has pledged to end the “crypto crackdown” by the current party in power. In a document, the pledge read that “Republicans will end Democrats’ unlawful and un-American crypto crackdown”. They have also vowed to oppose the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency.”
In addition, he emphasized that, should he be elected president, America’s nearly 50 million cryptocurrency holders would have the right to self-custody.
Trump reaffirmed his commitment to cryptocurrency at a fundraising event in San Francisco in June, where he pledged to become a “crypto president,”
