Tyler Winklevoss, Co-Founder of Gemini, Critiques Elizabeth Warren’s Most Recent Email Campaign

In an effort to unseat pro-crypto lawyer John Deaton in Elizabeth Warren’s reelection campaign, Tyler Winklevoss attacks the senator via her email campaign.

On September 10, Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss criticized Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on X, labeling her most recent email campaign as “dishonest” as she competes with pro-crypto lawyer John Deaton for reelection.

Tyler Winklevoss Slams Elizabeth Warren For Email Campaign

Winklevoss’s post came in response to an email sent by Warren’s campaign, which claimed that conservative, crypto-funded groups were launching multi-million-dollar ad campaigns against her.

The 50 million Americans who own digital assets have suffered as a result of Warren’s anti-crypto position, according to Winklevoss, who called her remarks deceptive.

He encouraged voters to support her opponent, John Deaton, to counter what he described as Warren’s “unlawful war” on the crypto industry.

Winklevoss posted a screenshot of the email in his X post. In it, Warren claimed that the Winklevoss brothers and other cryptocurrency investors were offended by her demand for “fair regulations” that would safeguard working people.

Cameron, Tyler’s twin brother, and Tyler have both been outspoken supporters of right-wing causes in politics.

In June of this year, they each donated $1 million to Republican U.S. presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The billionaire brothers contributed almost $5 million to the crypto super PAC Fairshake earlier this year. Fairshake’s goal is to assist politicians who support cryptocurrencies in the run-up to the 2024 elections.

Elizabeth Warren Faces Off Against Pro-Crypto John Deaton

In an effort to garner support as her reelection campaign nears its conclusion, Warren has launched her most recent email campaign.

John Deaton, her opponent, has long been a proponent of the blockchain industry and has received funding from some of the biggest figures in the field, such as Chris Larsen and Brad Garlinghouse of Ripple and Anthony Scaramucci, the former director of communications for the White House.

Warren has been a strong proponent of stricter regulations in the crypto sector. Her Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act (DAAMLA) has received bipartisan support and would tighten oversight of digital assets

Warren gained notoriety earlier this year when she asserted that cryptocurrencies were supporting criminal enterprises.

According to Warren, “Crypto is helping rogue states.” “It’s helping terrorists. It’s helping criminal organizations fund their operations on a scale we have never seen before.”

In Massachusetts, where she has established a solid base, Warren continues to be a formidable opponent despite Deaton’s backing from prominent crypto figures.

Trying to unseat the tenured senator will be difficult for Deaton.
